Once on the page, you will need to click the July 12th Severe Weather link. This will take them to the survey where they can report damages and upload photos.

Repairs and re-surfacing of Spring Branch Road will begin on or around July 30. The first phase will be repairs and leveling up of low areas of the road surface, and will take 1-2 weeks to complete. Once that is done the asphalt has to cure for another 1-2 weeks before the chip/seal surface can be laid down. There will activity on and off for most of August.
Notices will be posted of the work status and signs will placed to alert you when and where work is happening. Additionally, there will be flaggers in place to control traffic flow when the major sections are being done.

We have set a date for a Volunteer Trash Pick Up Event along Spring Branch Road.
Please come out and join me and your neighbors Saturday, October 21st from 9 to NOON.

The City of Spring Branch is seeking candidates for the position of City Clerk.
This position is a contract position and requires an average of 20 hours per month.
Required skills include finance and accounting, using Excel and Word as well as scanning and posting documents to the city website.
Candidates must be able to attend all monthly and special meetings as they occur and are required to prepare minutes and agendas.
The Mayor and City Commissioners are elected to two-year terms. The Mayor’s term expires in November of 2023 and the two Commissioners terms expire the following year (2024). Elections are held in May each year. Key dates for the 2023 and 2024 elections are contained in the link below, including deadlines for submitting applications and election dates. Questions can be directed to the Mayor’s office or to the Comal County elections office.
TCEQ has approved the permit application for the wastewater treatment plant related to the proposed Lennar subdivision development at the southwest corner of FM 306 and US 281. The notification letter is embedded below and is also available for download.

This application seeks to operate a wastewater treatment facility north of Rebecca Creek Rd and West of 281, to service a proposed housing development, with additional capacity for future development.

Many of you have noticed the No Parking signage that has gone up along FM 311 approaching the Guadalupe River. I want to provide some background and facts surrounding this action.
To begin with, FM 311 is a Texas State Highway which falls under the governance of TxDOT. The area between the road edge and the adjacent property lines is the Right of Way (ROW). The signage was placed to clearly communicate that parking is not allowed, and while the signage stops roughly a half mile from the River, it should be noted that parking is not permitted along FM 311 in its entirety.

On SJWTX / CLWSC website is an explanation of what you should do as the weather warms up and you can take some preventative measures to reduce the possibility of flooding in your house due to free-flowing water from a cracked water line in your house’s plumbing. Taking these measures also prevents water loss from busted lines so that the water company can achieve better pressure and delivery of water to other houses in your area.
Our State and our Local Community has experienced conditions that most of us haven’t seen in our lifetimes. These conditions have taxed our infrastructure to the limits, and we are all scrambling to get back to normal conditions. I want to share some things that you should be aware of, and things we can do to assist.
First and foremost is our water supply. Canyon Lake Water Service has been working relentlessly to restore water service, and has made very good progress. There is great concern over the volume of water leaks on the consumer’s side of the meter and with local subdivision plumbing. These leaks are impacting the restoration of service.
Due to weather, the Finance Committee meeting scheduled for Feb 14, 2021 has been canceled. Notice will be posted when the meeting is rescheduled.
The term of office of Mayor, City of Spring Branch, Texas, will expire on November 3rd, 2021.
An election will be held May 4, 2021. Anyone interested in appearing on the ballot should complete an application and submit it to the City Clerk.

This morning Judge Krause signed an executive order requiring the use of face masks by all employees and customers of businesses in Comal County.
This is a measure that is not popular with everyone, but is essential to slowing the spread of Covid-19. I commend the Judge for his action.
To emphasize the severity of our situation, the case count rose by over 100 cases from yesterday, the largest single day jump yet.

Free COVID-19 testing available Saturday in Bulverde/Spring Branch
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE, MAY 27, 2020:
NEW BRAUNFELS — A third one-day drive-through site in Comal County on Saturday will provide a free COVID-19 test to anyone who makes an appointment.
The site – set up by the Texas Division of Emergency Management and Texas Department of State Health Services in coordination with Comal County and Comal Independent School District – will be at Bill Brown Elementary School, 20410 SH-46, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Stay at Home –
Hopefully, by now, you are all aware that Governor Abbott has called for a Statewide Stay at Home order effective 12:01 AM tomorrow. This means that only those businesses that are deemed essential may remain open and only those employed by those businesses are exempt.
The attached resolution was passed during the Emergency Meeting held on March 31, 2020.
Notice is hereby given that the City Commission of the City of Spring Branch, Texas will conduct an emergency meeting to be held on the 31st day of March 2020 at 6:30 PM. This meeting will be conducted via teleconference in compliance with Social Distancing Protocol.
The following items will be discussed in regular meeting.

The Hill Country Fun Fest will be returning to Jumbo Evans Sports Park on July 3, 2019. Last year’s event was a big success and this year’s event should have the same fun, family friendly atmosphere with vendors, a kid zone, music, and fireworks.
